The Library
…a reading space
Welcome to the Collaborative Connections Counselling Library
This page is a growing collection of articles, papers, and resources that reflect the therapeutic approaches used in practice. Many of the documents are grounded in academic research and clinical evidence, highlighting the effectiveness and safety of the methods offered.
The Library is here for those who are curious. You are not expected to read everything, or anything at all. Some people like to understand how and why certain approaches work. Others prefer to focus on the experience of counselling itself. Both are equally valid.
Evidence-Informed Approaches
Many of the resources included here relate to eye movement therapies, which were originally developed to support trauma recovery and are now widely used for a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, panic, phobias, and distress linked to adverse life experiences.
The Library also reflects an integrative approach to counselling. Integrative therapy recognises that each person is unique, and that effective counselling needs to be flexible, responsive, and shaped around the individual rather than a single model.
You will also find material connected to Impact Therapy, which draws on multiple modalities and uses creative, experiential methods to support insight and change in ways that feel practical and engaging.

This Library continues to grow as new research emerges and practice evolves. Resources are added thoughtfully and reviewed to ensure they remain relevant, ethical, and aligned with current best practice.
